Understanding Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is a concept that celebrates the range of differences in human brain function and behavioural traits. It recognizes that variations in neurological development are a natural and valuable aspect of human diversity. By embracing neurodiversity, we acknowledge the unique perspectives and strengths of individuals with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental differences. This approach challenges the traditional view of these conditions as mere deficits or disorders, instead promoting a more inclusive understanding that values diverse ways of thinking and experiencing the world.
